Terms of Use
These terms cover the licence to use Device Trust Scan. Read section 2 carefully: it sets out what the app does not promise.

1. Subject
O. & S. STEFANOU LIMITED grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Device Trust Scan on devices you own or control.
This is a licence to use software, not the provision of a security service. Nobody is monitoring your device on your behalf.
2. No warranty — the key clause
The app provides informational recommendations. It does not guarantee protection against hacking, data breaches or malware, and it does not replace an antivirus, a VPN or a password manager. Decisions about your own security remain yours.
The app is provided “as is”. Check results depend on what iOS exposes to third-party apps: some settings cannot be read programmatically at all, which is why part of the audit is a guided checklist you complete yourself.
A high cyber rating means the settings the app can see are configured well. It is not a certificate that your device is secure.
3. Accuracy of breach data
Breach information comes from the third-party XposedOrNot service. Its completeness and accuracy are outside our control.
The absence of your address from the database does not mean it is safe. It may simply mean that a breach has not been published, catalogued, or discovered yet.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, O. & S. STEFANOU LIMITED is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for lost profits, or for loss of data arising from use of the app.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
5. Intellectual property and acceptable use
The app, its name, design and texts belong to O. & S. STEFANOU LIMITED. The licence grants use, not ownership.
- Do not decompile, reverse engineer or modify the app, except where the law expressly permits it.
- Do not use the app to attack, scan or interfere with devices that are not yours.
- Do not resell or redistribute the app or present it as your own product.
The licence terminates automatically if you breach these terms; you may end it at any time by deleting the app.
6. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. Disputes are resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence say otherwise.
7. Apple’s standard EULA
These terms supplement Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where the two conflict on a point Apple’s agreement governs, that agreement prevails.
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app.
